Does my organisation have to be based in Warwickshire to apply?

Providing your organisation is in Warwickshire County Council and have a PAYE employee then you can apply for support for them.

The funding covers all areas within the Warwickshire County Council district, including North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Rugby Borough Council, Stratford District Council, and Warwick District Council.

How many people can I apply for support for?

  • You can apply for support for up to 5 employees aged under 50 - each employee is eligible for up to £750 of funding support (please note VAT is not payable as part of the funding).
  •  You can also apply for support for up to 5 employees aged 50 and over - this age category is eligible for up to £1000 of funding support (VAT not payable).
  •  You can apply for up to 5 employees in each category, totalling 10 employees.

How do I apply?

The first step is to fill in a contact form - you'll find it at the bottom of every page on this site. Once we've received your form, we'll get in touch to discuss your needs and explain what funding is most likely to be available to you. We'll support you in completing your forms, and once approved, you then send them to the approving department at WCC. As soon as your application has been approved (usually within one week), we'll finalise the details and dates for your chosen training.

What training courses can I choose?

There is a full list of training courses available HERE. When you successfully apply for funding, you can choose 2 half day courses to attend. If your training requirements total more than two courses, please get in touch with us, as we may be able to offer you a bespoke solution.

What if I want to send more staff on a course, than I am able to apply for support for?

If you have more staff training requirements than you are able to apply for funding (i.e. 5+ members of staff in each age category), please get in touch with us and we'll find a way to accommodate your needs.

What if I have training requirements that are not listed here?

Depending on your requirements, we may be able to build you a bespoke package - please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements in detail.

Where do I have to go for training?

Depending on the number of staff you need training for, we aim to complete most of our training workshops on-site with you, but we'll discuss this with you as part of the application process.

I am a sole trader - can I still apply for training?

Absolutely! We can train anyone, but we may ask you to join a session with other businesses.

I have under 50s and over 50s on my payroll - can I apply for training for both?

Yes you can - the maximum number of employees a business can apply for is 5 from each age category, so if you have employees aged under 50 and over 50 in your business, you can apply for support for both, up to a maximum of 10 employees.

Examples

Mr Smith owns jewellers in Bedworth - he has 12 employees, 6 are under 50 and 6 are over 50. Mr smith would be able to apply for training support for 5 of the under 50s, and 5 of the over 50s.

Mrs Smith is a partner of a solicitors in Warwick. There are 25 employees in the business, 4 are over 50 and 21 are under 50. Mrs Smith could make a total of 9 applications for support (4 over 50 applications, and 5 under 50 applications)

What if I want to do more courses?

If you want to complete more training, please get in touch with us - we may be able to offer a bespoke solution, and there is the additional option of purchasing extra training with us too.
